The evening forum, hosted by the President of #MRDS, featured inspiring panelists, including Bruce Lim from the Persatuan Pesakit Imunodefisiensi Primer Malaysia MYPOPI. Mr Bruce also highlighted collaborative efforts with #Arcadia to establish the SHINE Initiativeโ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต, ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฑ.
Launched in June 2024, the SHINE Initiative aspires to expand access to newborn screening across Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region. This includes comprehensive testing for Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders (PID) and metabolic conditions (Inborn Errors of Metabolism), providing vital early intervention opportunities for newborns.
Looking ahead, we are excited to be part of #๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ 2025, uniting with Malaysian alliances to advance this important cause. Themed “๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฆ ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฏ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐จ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ,” we reckoned this event at HPKK on December 10, 2024, promises to be a pivotal moment in fostering collaboration and driving meaningful, lasting change for children in Malaysia and beyond.
